As a global technology provider , AVL offers concepts, solutions and methodologies in the fields of e-mobility, ADAS and autonomous driving, vehicle integration, digitalization, virtualization, Big Data, and much more.The Technical Sales Support Engineer is the technical expert in a specific application field of AVL Advanced Simulation Technology (AST) business unit and is required to support the business development in a specified strategic area. The Technical Sales Support Engineer helps to develop simulation methodologies and to assist and develop business in close cooperation with AST Sales and Solution Management. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKSThe Technical Sales Support Engineer drives a specific and strategic application / solution and the involved AST software tools. TSS directly interacts with customers and AST development and works in close cooperation with solution management and sales to bring dedicated solutions into the market. Technical Sales Support Engineer contribution:- Technical assistance and main contact for specific simulation applications / solutions- Find new customers and applications within a specific area of interest- Creates partnerships with Universities or Research Centers to promote AVL solutions- Participate in Simulation projects related to its area of expertise, giving his contribution to improve the methodology or driving the execution- Acts as technical interface along the sales process- Prepares presentations and conducts product demonstrations at customer meetings and events- Communicates the technical benefits of AVL products and services to customers. REQUIREMENTS: - Graduation in a university of technology or applied sciences (engineering, chemistry, energy, etc...)- Solid background in energy topics is required (electrolyzers, fuel cells, energy storage systems, energy conversion system, etc…)- Previous experience in Simulation topics, preferably in energy or thermal management topics (with 0D/1D/3D CFD approaches)- Knowledge of system-simulation tools or methodologies are considered a plus- Good attitude in working close with customers- Good knowledge of English- Availability for travelling, mainly within Italy but also to other AVL locations if needed (for a limited amount of time)- Knowledge of Windows and Linux (optional) operating system.
