Job Title:Technical Operations Manager (Power BI)

Salary:  £33,300 - £43,400

Location: Cambridge/Hybrid

Contract: Permanent/Full-time 

A chance to develop a career within the operations department of a leader in the educational sector, actively making a difference to our learners around the world.  This is an exciting opportunity for a Technical Operations Manager (Power BI) to join our Operation Excellence team, where you will be enabling teams throughout Cambridge English to deliver exam services to candidates through development of visualisations and reporting.

About the role

This role provides support to Operational colleagues throughout English by providing context and clarity to the information provided by our IT systems through the use of Power BI and other tools.

Main accountabilities include but not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining effective Management Information visualisations via Power BI to interpret and provide clarity to enable effective decision making for Assessment Operations
  • Support as necessary the Power Platform Developers in providing support the wider business unit on the deliverables mentioned above, providing expert insight, advice, and guidance to other English Assessment Operations teams.

 

About you

You will be highly experienced in the use of Data Visualisation Tools such as Power BI. In addition, you will have a proven ability to work with both specialist and non-specialist colleagues with varying levels of computer literacy. You will also adopt a creative attitude to problem solving to ensure the best solution is found. An understanding of data architecture good practice would also be beneficial.

To be a successful member of English Operational Excellence Team, we are looking for someone who:

  • Possesses advanced knowledge of programming languages such as SQL / DAX / M Query
  • Data analysis and working with relational data
  • Has excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively as required to meet deadlines
