First Party ClaimsTeam Leader, Iberia

Our experienced Claims professionals use their specialized expertise to handle even the most complex claims. As part of the AXA XL Iberia branch, the key Claims function mission is to proactively manage claims from notification to settlement, providing high quality customer service and reaching an effective outcome, in the most cost effective and profitable way.

As First Party ClaimsTeam Leader you will provide oversight and direction related to coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, reserving and resolution of First Party claims (Property/Care/Energy, Marine and Niche Specialty).

What will your essential responsibilities include?

·        Monitor First Party Claims portfolio, produce and manage the relevant metrics, control department workload.

·        Support claims specialists on individual files. Provide feedback and guidance to First Party claims team. This role also involves the management of Third Party Administrators with local, regional and global exposure and participation and even leadership in cross-cutting projects beyond claims.

·        Partnering with key stakeholders to establish claim value and service proposition.

Assisting underwriting partners in attracting and retaining business, and improving UW products.

·        Promote an OneAXA engagement model with the AXA Entities operating in Spain, share best practice

·        Co-Responsible for the local governance and monitoring of local synergies and boundaries

·        Training/support for local people on how best to leverage OneAXA entities

·        Coordinate and support revenue synergies and One AXA client experience  within the country

 

This position reports to the Head of Claims, Spain.

SHARE your talent

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law
  • Solid experience in claims handling (Property, Care, Marine and/or Specialties)
  • Previous experience in team management. Hands-on Team Leadership and management, demonstrating increasing responsibilities and knowledge of team motivation principles and practices. Experience managing TPAs is an asset.
  • Fluent English and Spanish proficiency
  • Significant experience working directly with brokers and insureds
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, producers and brokers as well as across the AXA XL and AXA Group enterprises.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and communication including active listening skills, explore different alternatives and influence the other parties to reach an agreement with positive outcomes for all.
  • Data management skills with PowerBi and analogue tools knowledge
  • Proactive mindset and out of the box thinking.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills combined with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to respond to a changing environment with flexibility and innovation and to be a role model for collaboration throughout integration an onwards into the future.
