Job Description

The purpose of the job is to secure excellence in total Supply Chain operational performance, and its further development, in close cooperation and alignment with all relevant supply chain stakeholders, contributing to reaching customer perceived availability at the lowest total cost.

  • Secure operational performance in Supply Chain from end-to-end perspective within given scope, according to Handling Risk of Shortage, Range Changes, Handling commercial actions, Handling high inventory, Delivery solution optimization, Slot management at sender and receiver side, Flow optimization execution, Expansion execution, EQU (equipment utilization) improvements and working methods, always having in mind the customer value;
  • Challenge and develop current logistical set up by identifying patterns of underperformance, noncompliance, deviations, and potential risks of disruptions;
  • Engaging respective stakeholders, together performing root-cause analysis and lead corrective actions (FPW and verify when agreed decisions are not met, understand root cause and take immediate actions).
  • Undertake initiatives to develop operational performance, utilizing efficient increase opportunities to bring excellence in operations and reach agreed objectives;
  • Validate and optimize sending and receiving capacities as a link between all Supply Chain stakeholders;
  • Lead high-quality communication with on time- and fact-based supply information among stakeholders from the whole Supply Chain
  • Follow up on execution of the Supply Plan (the compliance of Stakeholders, the execution of market relevant plans in connection with the Market Operation Forum (MOF) with respect of deadlines;
  • Adjust Delivery lead times based on performance and follow up On Time Delivery (OTD)
  • Plan and execute replenishment plan for new logistic units (Store and Customer Distribution Centers within established market)
  • Support, contribute with a knowledge and actions during ERP situation
  • Give an input on improvement of current processes, way of working to Supply Operations Competence centers – FPD, FRD, FCP)

Qualifications

  • Proven past experience in Logistic and Transport Industry and Inventory management
  • Leadership capabilities to manage complex stakeholders in a very dynamic environment
  • Capability to build effective and trustful relationships with internal and external stakeholders enjoying interacting with many different people
  • Ability to perform complex business analyses, risk assessment, root cause analyses and pattern, scenario planning and lead conclusions to support the right business decision and implementation
  • Analytical skills and negotiation skills
  • Strong and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive attitude, curiosity on improvement potentials, spotting opportunities and starting actions and initiatives on improvements, aiming to utilize the spotted potential.
  • University degree in Logistics, Economics or relevant working experience
  • Good knowledge of functions within IKEA Supply Chain and how they contribute to the process
  • Good knowledge in Supply Chain operations or transport planning & production
  • Good knowledge about how to build and evaluate fact-based business cases
  • Good knowledge of production costs and the main key drivers.
  • Good knowledge of ways of securing transport performance in all aspects.
  • Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken (at least FIRST CERTIFICATE, B2)
