Scientific Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Scientific Assistant to support the activities of the Vilé Group at Politecnico di Milano. The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent education, experience managing large, externally funded research projects, with a preference for EU-funded projects, and outstanding English skills. The candidate must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and be familiar with preparing meeting agendas and using online tools. 

Although the position requires physical presence in Milan, alternative working arrangements such as telecommuting or a hybrid office/home setup may be negotiable.

Your responsibilities: 

• Manage the financial and administrative aspects of research projects and technology transfer agreements/contracts 
• Compile indicators of the group's scientific activity and assist with grant and project justification reports 
• Manage the group's website and social media presence 
• Arrange management committee meetings and draft meeting agendas 
• Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and procedures 
• Monitor network spending and progress towards goals 
• Contribute to the organization of annual Schools and process student applications 
• Coordinate the network's communication strategy and solicit content for the website, social media, and newsletter 
• Aid with other local management tasks related to the network
