Project: NEHA (Nanoscale Epitaxial Heterostructures Involving Metal Halides)
Commitment & contract: Collaboration Contract (24 months)
Location: Genoa, Italy

WHO WE ARE
At IIT we work enthusiastically to develop human-centered Science and Technology to tackle some of the most pressing societal challenges of our times and transfer these technologies to the production system and society. Our Genoa headquarter is strictly inter-connected with our 11 centers around Italy and two outer-stations based in the US for a truly interdisciplinary experience.

YOUR TEAM

The Nanochemistry Research Unit is seeking highly motivated and talented candidates in the field of spectroscopy, targeting the advanced characterization of epitaxial interfaces in nanocrystalline materials. The selected candidate will be involved in a broad set of optical spectroscopic analyses of these materials, both at the ensemble and single nanocrystal level. The candidate will interact on a regular basis with synthetic chemists who will synthesize the materials, computational scientists in charge of predicting the stability and properties of such combinations of materials and interfaces, and with other scientists/engineers for device applications. We are offering a two-year contract. The highly interdisciplinary research environment at IIT provides access to state-of-the-art computational labs for synthesis, characterization, and modeling.
