Geomatics for positioning and mapping - REF 111/2024 - AR

The research activity will mainly focus on Geomatics techniques for precise positioning, even using low-cost instrumentation. Different acquisition techniques of primary data concerning the territory and the environment will be analyzed, through the integration of different instruments/methods, such as GNSS receivers, Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs), terrestrial and aerial photogrammetry (UAV), hyperspectral and multispectral cameras, automatic algorithms for Computer Vision and Structure from Motion (SfM), Mobile Mapping Systems (MMSs), aerial and terrestrial LiDAR. Structured storage systems (GIS and spatial data infrastructures) will be also studied and developed for the collection, storage, use, querying and analysis of georeferenced spatial information
