Specific activities required by the called professor: 

a) The required teaching activity pertains to courses in the Bachelor Degree, in the Master Degree, and in the PhD Program, and to subjects in the area of the SSD ICAR/09 (according to the needs of teaching offering) with particular reference to the themes of structural design, the design of new buildings, verification and structural rehabilitation of existing ones for static and dynamic actions. They include lecturing, workshop, exams, tutoring and guiding students through their thesis work. As far as the doctoral program concerns, the selected professor will have to teach the courses offered by the Doctoral School as well as to lead the doctoral students in their research activities within the programs of the Doctoral Course in Risk and Environmental, Territorial and Building Development, as indicated later, in point b).
b) With reference to the general scientific goals and the research activities at the Department, the position is available to a candidate with experience and scientific expertise, as evidenced by appropriate titles and publications, in the fields related to actions on buildings, including the effect of seismic action; behavior of structures according to type and morphology, materials, techniques and technologies, soil and environment -interaction, strategies of use and control; methods and tools for structural design, construction and management of structures; vulnerability, reliability, comfort, safety and durability assessments; testing and monitoring of buildings; historical building assessment, structural intervention solutions applicable to historical buildings and monuments; structural architecture.
