Job Title: Senior Recognition Manager, Pakistan

Contract: Full time, Permanent

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Recognition Manager, Pakistan to be responsible for the recognition of Cambridge International Qualifications (mainly O Level/ IGCSE, AS and A Levels) and to raise the profile of Cambridge International with higher education institutions, government, and other stakeholders in Pakistan.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a team whose role is to strengthen recognition and equivalence for Cambridge International in Pakistan. The role will be varied and will include:

  • Gaining/improving university recognition and raising the Cambridge profile (ensuring personnel are familiar with Cambridge qualifications) in the higher education sector in Pakistan.
  • Developing recognitions materials to support country strategies that are designed to improve university admissions for Cambridge's qualifications in Pakistan and abroad.
  • Building relationships with key stakeholder groups such as IBCC, HEC, Federal and Provincial Education Ministries, government /private universities and Higher Education Institutions and other professional bodies.
  • Representing Cambridge at conferences and exhibitions in the country and liaising with a variety of key stakeholder groups by presenting on Cambridge qualifications and recognition.
  • Researching and keeping abreast of Pakistan education policies to identify and resolve issues in progression such as equivalent formula, timing of results, additional information on marks required, etc.
  • With Pakistan team, ensuring universities in Pakistan include Cambridge qualifications in their admission requirements as well as Cambridge schools in the country are aware of local and international university admission requirements and advise accordingly.
  • With the Pakistan team, ensuring Cambridge qualifications can be appropriately substituted for national provision with clear statements of equivalence liaising as appropriate with IBCC, HEC, HEIs, relevant ministries, government and other regulatory bodies.
  • Find innovative ways to communicate with parents and students, including guidance on selecting subjects at A Level, choosing a university, and progression options for their children both in Pakistan and abroad.
  • Ensuring that recognition related information is included in all marketing material and customer engagement points, including campaigns, orientation meetings and events.
  • Resolving individual issues and answer queries relating to progression in Pakistan.

About you

You must be educated to degree level, or equivilant experience. You will have knowledge of Cambridge International programmes, and the overall education environment in Pakistan. Knowledge of international education environment, particularly, in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Europe will be an added advantage.

You have the ability to influence and to negotiate with key stakeholders and an extended experience of external relationships. You have excellent interpersonal, diplomacy and communication skills.

You will have the capacity to work independently with minimum supervision to complete tasks/projects on time and at the same time and when relevant, to work in close collaboration with colleagues from different parts of the organization to help drive success.
