Job Description Summary: Renantis has partnered with BlueFloat Energy to develop and deliver the six floating offshore wind farms off the costs of Puglia, Calabria and Sardinia. The projects could deliver more than 5.5GW of offshore wind capacity and are scheduled to be complete by the end of the decade, subject to securing consent and commercial arrangements.
The partnership between the two companies is based on Renantis’ in-depth knowledge of the Italian industry and energy sector, combined with BlueFloat Energy’s technical expertise in floating offshore wind.
Renantis and BlueFloat Energy recognize the strong potential of floating offshore wind technology in Italy for the renewable energy production, which will significantly contribute to the country's energy transition and autonomy, while fully respecting ecosystems.
We are currently looking for a Senior Project Engineer willing to join our dynamic and international team!
The primary focus for the Senior Project Engineer is to deliver scopes of work on the Southern Italy projects.
The Senior Project Engineer will support the Project Manager and the Technical Manager to deliver the Offshore projects and lead the delivery of discrete work packages.Job Description:

Main Reponsibilities

• Lead projects or work with Package managers and in coordination with Technical Managers to achieve a satisfactory conclusion of the project within the allotted budget and timescale.

• Responsible, as directed, for providing Project Engineering services to the projects of his/her competence across the various phases (design, construction, commissioning, or operations)

• Work in a multi-disciplinary project team, to conduct design and analysis work independently and to the satisfaction of the Project Manager for the project.

• Deliver work packages from start to finish whilst understanding both theoretical and practical elements for example foundations design, management, fabrication, and installation.

• Managing interfaces between packages, Consents’ Compliance and HSE requirements compliance in the interest of the projects.

• Ensure that all design work under their control is performed, reviewed, checked and approved in accordance with the project specific engineering procedures.

• Prepare and review Employers Requirements, review EPCI Design Basis and FEED studies.

• Contract management, preparation, and review of Technical Communication notes.

• Package / Contractor interface; various – HSE, QA and QC, consent compliance, stakeholder engagement and site conditions (geophysical, geotechnical and metocean).

• Manage Package Document Control in compliance with overall EDMS control.

• Assisting in Factory Acceptance Tests or audits of contractors and their sub-contractors.

• Assisting with and in some cases lead the management of contractors across all project phases.

• Proactively identifying engineering issues and risks to be addressed, applying the portfolio engineering strategy to the specific projects of his/her competence.

• Preparing engineering model and reports for the assigned projects.

• Provide sketches, supervise drafting of drawings by CAD resource.

• Provide technical supervision to a graduate structural engineer.

• Participate in accident and incident investigations as required.

• Form part of the Emergency Response team as required by the Company Emergency Response Procedures.

Requirements

• Senior level (over 5-years’ experience in OWF).

• Experience with managing stakeholders and clients. Experience working with external clients and teams beneficial.

• Experience as Project Engineer with exposure to Offshore Wind Developments.

• Experience working on Offshore Wind packages would be beneficial

• Commercial awareness.

• Detail conscientious.

• High tolerance for uncertainty, results orientation.

• Strong work ethic.

• Leadership skills and management experience.

• Ability to multi-task.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Native Italian, excellent English.

• Good report writing skills essential.

• Confident and outgoing individual.

• Team player, self-starter and problem solver i.e. “Can-do” attitude.

• Strong IT literacy.

• Flexible to travel in Italy, UK, Spain and working away from base office.

Location : Rome, with flexible smartworking and availability to travel within Italy and Europe.
