Responsibilities:
- Supervise and oversee testing activities on materials for non-clinical and clinical use, ensuring compliance with GMP/cGMP standards.
- Act as Study Monitor for analytical method development/validation/transfer studies, stability studies, and drug substances characterization studies.
- Contribute to the selection and qualification of partners through technical/scientific evaluation.
- Collaborate with CROs/CDMOs to manage outsourced activities effectively.
- Develop analytical strategies and control strategies for new drug substances, employing a risk-based approach to support non-clinical and clinical development.
- Lead and guide laboratory technicians, ensuring adherence to quality standards and addressing any analytical non-conformities.
- Prepare, review, and approve technical, regulatory, and GMP documentation.
- Promote operational excellence, continuous quality improvement, and technological innovation.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience as an Analytical Scientist in manufacturing or pharmaceutical companies, preferably in new drug substances development.
- Proficiency in lean six-sigma methodology and solid-state characterization of materials.
- Advanced knowledge of various analytical techniques, including spectrophotometric, diffractometric, calorimetric, potentiometric, mass spectrometry, and chromatographic techniques.
- Strong understanding of univariate and multivariate (PCA, DoE) statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with standard informatic tools and advanced documentation editing skills.
- Good knowledge of the business context in the pharmaceutical sector and GMP/cGMP guidelines (ICH, EMEA, FDA) related to the development of new drug substances.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and risk-management skills.
- Scientific degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Good English language skills.
