The primary purpose of this role is to assist in securing market access via demonstrating the value of Lilly products through the product reimbursement life cycle. PRA Specialist is responsible for implementing the strategic plan for access and developing best-in-class dossiers for submissions and/or re-submissions to government.The PRA Specialist owns Lilly products' value proposition/payer value message and delivers it to payers throughout the product lifecycle.The PRA Specialist is also responsible for HEOR planning & implementation in consultation with VEOteam to tailor quality pharmaco-economic model on time and on budget to support the reimbursement of the products across the Lilly portfolio.
Key responsibilities:
Payer Marketing
- Understand global brand payer strategies for prioritized products for respective business units and incorporate local payer’s needs and insights into local strategy/deliverables
- Understand payer’s or customers’ needs and insights, and communicate internally
- Lead the development and execution of pricing and reimbursement strategies including launch, post-launch as well as product development strategies (indication, dosage, potential payer prioritization)
HTA Submission and Approval
- Develop best-in-class dossiers, including health economics and budget impact analysis for submission and lead payer negotiation through scientific communication with evidence to achieve reimbursement
- Develop strategy on price negotiations with government and governmental authorities (i.e., reimbursement approval for a new drug, price-volume negotiation, RSA reassessment, reimbursement expansion) to minimize price reduction
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to carry out pre-launch activities, monitor a progress of negotiation, and get support from external stakeholders
- Assist in the development of payer partnership programs and other relevant tools based on health outcomes / medical data and assist in the cross-affiliate use of dossiers to appropriately support reimbursement
Health Outcomes & Economic Modeling
- Be responsible for planning, initiating, contracting vendors, analysis, and publication of health economics/outcomes studies to support the reimbursement negotiation
- Be responsible for local adaptation of pharmaco-economic and budget impact models
External Customer Management
- Understand deeply on country's pharmaceutical and economic environment and HTA process
- Participate in trade associations as appropriate (based on the level of association)
Pricing
- Develop business cases for OOP, AAP, and/or reimbursement launches with support of cross-functional partners
Develop a clear and concise narrative around the PRA strategy and financial assessment
Requirements:
- Experience in a pharmacoeconomic model adaptation and budget impact model development (preferred)
- Experience in business case development (preferred)
- Experience in new drug reimbursement through Pharmaco-economic waiver track and Weighted Average Price track (preferred)
- Experiences/knowledge of pricing policies & procedures or HEOR (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree or above majored in pharmacy or health policy (preferred)
- Good in English (Speaking and Writing)
- Proficient computer skills (MS-word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally
- High level of motivation and a strong desire to find creative solutions to challenging situations
- Strong learning agility
- Prioritization skills with attention to detail
- Ability to systematically review clinical/scientific literature
- Ability to analyze and interpret clinical and health outcomes data
