Semiconductor Service Technician

Etjca Spa, an Employment Agency, Catania branch, is seeking a Semiconductor Service Technician for a client who is a leader in diversified electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.

The company operates in the semiconductor field and invents systems and solutions for the production of wafers and reticles, integrated circuits, packaging, printed circuit boards, and flat panel displays.

We are looking for Semiconductor Service Technician  who will be responsible for customer service activities related to the installation, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of equipment and large machinery at customer sites.

• Responsible for customer service activities related to installation and troubleshooting;
• Represents the company to the customer and assumes responsibility for customer satisfaction with the service;
• Repair of system-level problems;
• Prepares field service reports on customer support activities and provides documentation to other support functions on recurring issues;
• Ensures operational quality of system equipment;
• Coordinates actions with customers to minimize downtime;
• Prepares quotes for customers based on labor, travel expenses incurred, and necessary parts;
• This role requires 70% to 80% travel to customer sites.

• Fluent English (both written and spoken);
• Technical diploma in Electronics or Mechatronics or a degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and 2 or 3 years of experience;
• Experience with troubleshooting techniques in repairing complex and sophisticated tools;
• Ability to read and interpret electronic/electromechanical schematics and drawings;
• Ability to address overall system issues (hardware, software, networking, automation, applications); ability to drive customer improvement programs, change order programs;
• Excellent analytical problem-solving skills;
• Creative thinking approach to address customer challenges and needs;
• Driver's license B.

The selected candidates will undergo a three-week training program abroad (USA or Singapore).
