Scientific Officer - Feed Additives

We are looking for a Scientific Officer in the area of Feed Additives.

Responsabilità

• Supporting the other Scientific Officers in the risk assessment process of Feed Additives;
• Being responsible for the preparation of draft opinions;
• Collecting and collating data from scientific databases;
• Undertaking literature searches and reviews on selected scientific topics;
• Providing official answers to comments received from EU national competent authorities;
• Contributing to timely and effective planning to meet priorities and deadlines within the work programme of the Unit.

• Excellent knowledge of English (at least C1 level);
• At least 1 year of relevant working experience in collecting and collating evidence, writing and reviewing scientific documents, analyzing and interpreting data with statistics;
• Knowledge of one of the following fields of studies: veterinary medicine, Feed Additives, microbiology, biology;  
• Working with others, analysis and problem solving, drive for results, good level of autonomy.

Assignment: initial contract of 2 or 3 months, with possibility of extensions. Expected duration of assignment 6 months.

Salary: approx €3400 per month before taxes.

Work modalities: office work is required on at least 2 days per week. Remote work is possible within 2 hours from EFSA's premises in Parma, Italy, for the remaining days.
