R&D Manager

We are currently looking for a dynamic R&D Manager to helm our Research and Development department, based in our Italian office. This pivotal role reports directly to the Head of R&D & PM for Equipment and carries the responsibility of steering our R&D efforts towards groundbreaking discoveries and technological advancements as well as developing the team competence and efficiency

• Leading the development activities to innovate and improve products, expanding our product range while achieving cost savings and quality enhancements guided by the product roadmaps.


• Managing product development from concept through detailed design and industrialization, ensuring alignment with product requirements.


• Spearheading the adoption of new technologies, benchmarking against industry standards to maintain and improve our competitive edge.


• Overseeing and further develop a talented team based in Italy


• Guiding the design and modification of metal, electrical, and plastic components, including test planning and validation.


• Providing project reports to steering committees as well as input to product boards for tollgate decisions and resource prioritisation


• Collaborate with local/regional/global stakeholders on daily basis.


• Enhance the local and regional network of service suppliers and partnerships to enhance our capabilities


• Resource management /prioritization/allocation/planning


• Work with continuous improvements of line routines and capabilities

Profilo del Candidato



• A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within R&D, demonstrating a broad vision yet meticulous attention to detail.


• Demonstrated ability to operate strategically and operationally, with a pragmatic, results-oriented approach.


• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering


• Used to drive efficient cross functional collaboration to keep deadlines and facilitate reaching the market with the right products on time


• Expertise and experience related to development av large components and products in polymers is a plus.


• Expertise and experience related to agile product development methods is a plus.


• Strong expertise in managing supplier relationships and a proven track record in leading complex projects and teams.


• Exceptional ability to communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders across diverse functions. Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages considered a plus.


• Independent, self-motivated, well-organized, with an analytical mindset


• Ability to travel to customers, suppliers and other R&D sites, with international travel of up to 10% annually
