RINA is currently recruiting for a R&D Engineerto join its office in Lecce, Italy within the Infrastructure Division.
Mission
The candidate will be involved in both technical R&D activities for EU and National funded Projects and in technical activities for industrial Projects.
Knowledge is required for the development of innovative solutions (both R&D and industrial) in the fields of Structural Health and Environmental Monitoring (SHM) systems for different final applications (e.g., construction, marine, oil & gas, among the others).
Key Accountabilities
His/her duties will include planning and execution of technical/testing/on-site activities (both R&D and industrial), data analysis and interpretation, and technical reporting.
The candidate will work in a dynamic consultancy environment, with the opportunity to increase his/her skills, potentially acting as focal technical point for his/her own areas of expertise.
Qualifications
2 years of experience in similar roles
Knowledge of traditional sensors (e.g., accelerometers, inclinometers, strain gauges, acoustic) and data acquisition systems, measuring technologies (e.g., fibre optics technology), and preliminary design of SHM systems
Planning and execution of testing campaigns,
Good level in English
Availability to travel worldwide on short and mid-term assignments
The following aspects will be considered as a plus:
Previous certifiable involvement in EU or National funded Project
Previous certifiable experience in fields relevant for this job posting
Basic knowledge of civil structures and infrastructures
PhD degree in fields relevant for this job posting
Basic knowledge of data analysis software (MATLAB, Mathcad, LabVIEW) #LI-AC2
Education
Master’s Degree in Electronic/TLC Engineering or Civil Engineering
Other in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering
