Job Overview: As a DeltaV Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products, processes, and systems meet specified quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves designing and implementing qualification protocols, conducting testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to guarantee the integrity and compliance of our deliverables. You will also be working with our other platforms like PlanPAx, AVEVA etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand DeltaV DCS solutions based on project requirements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate DeltaV systems into existing or new processes.
- Conducting troubleshooting and diagnostic activities to resolve DeltaV system issues promptly.
- Participating in project planning and execution, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of DeltaV automation projects.
- Coordinating with project managers and other engineering disciplines.
- Ensuring DeltaV systems comply with industry regulations and standards.
- Participating in audits and providing documentation for regulatory purposes.
- Provide training to relevant personnel on qualification procedures, protocols, and best practices.
- Offering technical support to relevant personnel on qualification procedures, protocols, and best practices.
- Develop and execute qualification plans for products, equipment, and processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate qualification activities into project timelines.
- Design and draft qualification protocols, including Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ).
- Execute qualification protocols by performing tests, inspections, and data collection as per established procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments related to qualification activities and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Work with cross-functional teams to address identified risks in the qualification process.
- Ensure that qualification processes adhere to relevant regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Stay informed about updates and changes in regulatory requirements impacting qualification activities.
- Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless integration of qualification activities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other teams during the qualification process.
- Collaborating with other Automation Engineers, process engineers, and stakeholders to achieve integrated and efficient automation solutions.
- Analyze qualification data and prepare comprehensive reports, documenting findings, and recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders about the status and outcomes of qualification activities.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in DeltaV system performance.
- Staying abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in process automation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in the qualification workflow.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions based on qualification findings.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in both spoken and written English.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Quality Assurance or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing, qualification engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role within a regulated industry.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as FDA, ISO, and cGMP.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to process automation.
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and compliance.
- Training or certification in DeltaV system administration is a plus.
- Experience with validation and qualification software tools is a plus.
