Descrizione del lavoro

Have experience in Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) for discovery and early drug development? Interested in data-driven research and development? If you have an entrepreneurial mindset and are eager for new challenges in QSP modeling, Orion's Digital Medicine department wants to hear from you!

Description of position

We're looking for an experienced Senior/Principal-level QSP expert with a data-driven discovery mindset, industry modeling experience, collaboration with early drug development colleagues, familiarity with biology aspects in oncology and pain, and knowledge of experimental methods.

You will collaborate with internal and external experts, teams, and projects, helping develop innovative methods for modeling efficacy and safety. As part of our computational biology team, you'll create your own methods and pipelines, contributing to our shift toward data-driven research and development. Extensive collaboration with internal/external functions, partners, and research biologists is expected.

Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) is a modeling and simulation approach used in pharmacology and drug development to understand and predict complex biological system responses to drug compounds. These models integrate biological, pharmacological, and physiological data to uncover how drugs interact with the body and affect disease processes, encompassing various factors like drug properties, molecular pathways, patient variability, and their impact on diseases.

QSP models support drug development at all stages, from preclinical research to clinical trials and beyond, aiding in dose optimization, biomarker identification, safety and efficacy assessment, and drug development decision-making.

This role is available in Espoo or Turku, Finland (with relocation support) or in NYC, US.
