(COMPANY NAME) is looking for a qualified/experienced Property Risk Engineer to join its reinsurance team. After an initial training period in our HQ in Milan (6-12 months), the resource will have the opportunity to join the reinsurance team based in Basel (Switzerland).
Key Accountabilities
* Conducting onsite visits to assess property loss control and Nat Cat exposures in the (COMPANY NAME) factories
* Develop detailed reports to relay conditions and provide recommendations for improvement
* Analyze building construction, fire protection features, process operations and special hazards
* Building relationship with key insurance/reinsurance carriers
* Evaluate Captive risk line/portfolio exposure and risk optimization instruments
* Handle claims
Skills & Competencies
* Master's degree in engineering (preferred mechanical or electrical)
* 2-3 years of experience in Risk Consulting
* Strong working knowledge of fire protection and of insurance issues
* Knowledge of FM Global or NFPA standards
* Knowledge about mechanical and electrical equipment (mainly, boilers, compressors, gearboxes, electric motors, switchgears, transformers)
* Knowledge of maintenance of electrical equipment (NDT, infrared scanning, vibration monitoring)
* Ability to consult effectively on a broad range of tire manufacturing risk controls, and the ability to identify exposures/assess complex risks
* Good knowledge of excel
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English
* Willingness to learn, Strong interpersonal relationship skills and ability to work in a team
