Responsibilities
• Design and preparation of site, grading, drainage, erosion control, and utility plans• Lead project coordination meetings and client project requirement meetings• Assist in the development of project specifications• Perform calculations and analysis of specialized civil elements• Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects• Assist in the development of new standards and specifications for the civil group
Requirements
• Ability to perform all aspects of design with technical excellence• Sound knowledge of industry practice and commitment to customer service• Experience with private and public sector clients/projects• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment• Excellent communication skills• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering• Minimum 5 years of experience in Civil Engineering• Registered Professional Engineer in FL or ability to obtain within 6 months
Key Skills Needed
• Technical design skills (grading, streets, water, sewer, storm drain, etc.)• Proficiency in Civil3D, Hydrology/Hydraulic design software, MS Office• Experience with Microstation (an asset)• Client management and business development
