Product Engineering Specialist – Temporary

In our Electrification Business, for Smart Power Business Unit, located in Frosinone, we are seeking an Engineer who will join the Product Engineering Department of Business Unit Protection and Connection, in the plant based in Frosinone, Italy. The temporary position is needed to support Product Engineering team during product development and active products technical improvement. In an international context, technical and management issues will be managed with targets of Time, Cost and Quality. Main required technical competencies are Mechanical Technology, Industrial Engineering Drawing, Mechanics.

Your responsibilities

• Defines the working phase sequence of a new production process in order to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.
• Ensures appropriate production methods, cycle-time, equipment performance and materials/components in support of production targets.
• Identifies and recommends improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality and cost requirements.
• Ensures the production process complies with the project targets.
• Approves the design for processes developed internally or externally, and performs final tests with respect to the project.
• Provides support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.
• Evaluates new process technologies to improve productivity, quality and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria and external provider choices.

Your background

• Industrial or Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• A very good knowledge of MS Office, 2D/3D CAD systems are nice to have.
• Very good knowledge of English and Italian are fundamental requirement.
• Positive spirit, Proactivity, team working, speediness and problem solving orientation; commitment to deliver results by taking responsibility to execute assigned tasks and projects.
