Job Title: Performance Data Analyst
Salary: £27,900 - £36,300
Location: Cambridge/Hybrid
Contract: Permanent/Full time (35 hours per week)
We are looking for a Performance Data Analyst to join the Business Intelligence Team in Cambridge International Education. As a key member of our team, your goal will be to collate, analyse and visualize business performance information to allow senior managers and leaders to make evidenced business decisions. You will have the opportunity to use data engineering, modelling and analysis skills to achieve this.

About the role
As a Performance Data Analyst, your role is essential in making sure that our global sales teams have access to all the Performance Data they need to make informed business decisions. This role is vital to ensuring that the business data we hold is used effectively, allowing us to deliver our growth targets in terms of customer acquisition and retention.
In this dynamic role you'll:
- Take responsibility for building, maintaining and generating regular business performance management reports using a number of information systems.
- Regularly review the portfolio of Business Intelligence reports, to ensure they remain fit for purpose in providing robust evidence in support of decision making processes, taking advantage of the most appropriate reporting and data visualisation tools.
- Develop and maintain Performance Data pipelines using the corporate Data Lake, Power BI dataflows, datasets and models to allow the Business Intelligence team to undertake detailed analysis and interpretation.
- Identify key business and data processes that can be simplified and automated through the use of Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Assisting end users in being able to utilise and interpret Performance Data and reports enabling them to get required insights.
About you
You will have extensive experience and knowledge of data analysis and visualisation and will have a passion for data and how it can be used to gain insights and drive improvements.
The following will help you be an ideal candidate for this post:
- Excellent skills in data visualisation tools such as Power BI and Amazon QuickSight,
- Knowledge of automation tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps and their implementation in a business environment.
- Confident in using standard analytical approaches and interpreting data, and in using simple machine learning methods.
- Proficient in programming language such as SQL, Python, R, DAX
- Understanding of data relationship concepts, data engineering and data modelling techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification, or other evidence of equivalent knowledge
