Job Description:
The CTG Network Applications portfolio includes a set of products that have a large installed base in today’s communications service provider networks, but which also are highly relevant to the CSPs when they transition to 5G. We are looking for a Solution architect who will join the Network Applications Product management team participating and contributing to achieve business growth by architecting effective solutions that address our customer’s business problems, needs and opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
The Solution Architect will work together with our WW Lead architect and Product managers with the following responsibilities:
Architect reusable solutions based on HPE TAS, HPE OCMP, HPE USP-M and HPE INS.
Contribute to internal and external Solution Architecture and design workshops.
Capture and share architectural IP.
Influence the use of the Network Application reference architecture in key customer projects.
Identify and address technical or operational risks in key customer projects.
Develop and deliver technical solution presentations and documentation.
Deliver technical product presentations.
Develop, run and support cloud based, and local, solution and product demos.
Assist Product managers in answering technical pre-sales questions, responding to requests for customer commitments and writing detailed responses to RFP and RFI.
Education and Experience Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
6-10 years of work experience in related areas of the communications industry, software development and Solution Architecture and design.
Experience from developing solutions on telecom application servers and media servers. Experience developing on HPE TAS and/or HPE OCMP preferred.
Knowledge and Skills Required
Extensive experience with multiple software systems design tools and languages. In particular Java, J2EE, REST API’s, JSP, Servlets, Linux/RHEL.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Experience in overall architecture of software systems for communication products and solutions.
Designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types into overall architecture.
Understanding of Solution Architect methodologies, preferably through past experience.
Deep technical understanding and knowledge of Telecom networks in general including 5G and Cloud native technologies (virtualized and containerized), and specifically in Value Added Services and VAS enabling platforms. In particular SIP, Diameter, VoiceXML, CCXML, MSML, MSCML.
Able to design solutions for scalability and availability.
Ability to drive efficient educative information sharing, including product and solution trainings to internal and external audiences
Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.
Fluent in English
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
Ability to cope with high peak workloads
