Naval Handling Engineer

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: As Naval Handling Engineer you will join our business line ENCAR, conducting the following activities:

• Piping design/installation knowledge;
• Liaise/work with all disciplines to deliver handling deliverables to clients;
• Develop and implement philosophies and strategies for the handling of maintainable equipment, valves, instruments, and miscellaneous items;
• Create detailed handling methods and procedures for the maintenance and operations team to safely perform maintenance activities;
• Analyze lifting requirements and specify the appropriate mechanical handling devices (cranes, forklifts, etc.) for each task;
• Plan the transportation route for removing and transporting maintainable items to the designated laydown area;
• Clearly define the laydown area and required hatch opening dimensions to facilitate safe handling activities;
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of handling procedures;
• Handling design knowledge for offshore Oil & Gas Projects;
• Review of vendor material and equipment handling proposal;
• Verification of mechanical vendor drawings;
• Supervise handling team;
• Participate in 3D Model reviews with client and propose solutions to problems;
• Read and understand technical drawings;
• Interface between E3D/S3D and Navisworks;
• Perform handling study, create snapshots from E3D/S3D or Navisworks.

QUALIFICATION: Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in a relevant field

KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE: Good level of English speaking and writing

LABOUR RELATIONSHIP: permanent contract

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5-10

IT SKILLS: Competent with Microsoft office program: Words, Excel, PowerPoint. Good knowledge of 3D software (E3D, S3D or equivalent as well as Navisworks) .

SOFT SKILLS: Team spirit mind set, determination and curios to learn, autonomy, anticipation, attention to detail, analytical skills, good communication and interpersonal behaviors.

NICE TO HAVE: availability for international mobility, Italian speaking, French speaking
