RINA is currently recruiting for a Metocean Consultant to join its office in Genoa, Rome or Milan (Italy) within the Energy Engineering Solutions Division.

Mission

The ideal candidate will work with the metocean team to lead and deliver metocean specialized studies (for offshore and nearshore oil&gas and renewable projects) to clients. Working together as a global team, you will be expected to achieve extraordinary results in a demanding and challenging business environment that is constantly changing.

Skills

  • 3-5 years of work experience in performing statistical analysis of wind, wave, water level and current data, including extreme value analysis, joint probability and weather window analysis;
  • Experience on wave, hydrodynamic and morphodynamic modeling;
  • Knowledge of Matlab, Python or other programming languages;
  • Familiarity with common metocean measurements systems e.g., wave buoys, ADCPs and Floating LiDAR;
  • Experience of industry formal accreditation processes (e.g. DNV);
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis methods;
  • Excellent English and communication skills;

Job Responsabilities

Interact with clients and colleagues to achieve project objectives using appropriate technical judgment;

From the initial concept stage through to completion, they manage project timelines and oversee all developments;

Plan technical solutionengineering consultants find unique ways to resolve technical issues without affecting the overall completion deadline or affecting the involvement from other departments or external companies;

Prepare the project deliverables (technical reports, project performance documentation and engineering drawings, etc.);

Create documents and reports that detail their assessments, any fact-finding survey data acquired, the project's inception, and concept planning;

Be aware and understand the Quality Policy. Ensure that all assigned activities are executed in accordance with the RINA QMS.
