Marketing Specialist

As Marketing Specialist you’re responsible for planning and executing global marketing programs in support of imec’ s offering both in semiconductor technologies and systems, and in its application domains (automotive, connectivity and datacom, consumer electronics, industry 4.0, etc…

What you will do

• You’ll become responsible for the sector ‘compute and system technologies’ and will focus on driving marketing activities for imec’s prototyping & manufacturing capabilities and deeptech venturing.  
• Work closely with the marketing team, sales teams, portfolio management and venturing team on the implementation of marketing plans and campaigns, utilizing all available marketing channels through an integrated approach.  
• You oversee planning of content and deliverables and deployment of the campaigns.  
• You steer the development and messaging of larger marketing pieces (movies, animations, visuals, customer facing decks, leaflets, articles, whitepapers, …) with the support of your colleagues from copywriting, and branding for the execution. You can create smaller marketing materials yourself, such as landing pages, emails, and presentations, by effectively translating input from internal stakeholders into clear and persuasive copy. Depending on campaign needs you set up dedicated events or workshops and manage the execution and follow up.   
• You maintain a calendar of strategically relevant conferences and events and support imec’s presence in those key events.  
• You develop and maintain strong relationships with internal scientific leaders, business development partners, and across the broader communications teams to achieve alignment on campaigns.

Who you are

• A master’s degree in communications, marketing or related  
• Min. 5 years of marketing experience in an international B2B environment (experience in semiconductors, photonics, health, connectivity, automotive, datacom, ….is a plus)  
• Excellent project management skills and detail-oriented. Strong time management and organizational skills  
• Experience of planning and executing successful campaigns  
• Excellent communication skills (written / verbal / presentation) and native level proficiency in English.  
• Team player with the ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders  
• Hands-on and can manage strategy and execution in parallel.  
• Eager to learn more about imec’s technology offering.  
• Fluency with MS office and Powerpoint. Experience with Keynote, Adobe Creative Suite or marketing automation software (Eloqua preferably) is a plus.
