Manager of Asset Operations
Oversees and coordinates daily activities of all operations. Reviews, tracks, and assigns tasks to Fleet Managers to ensure customer satisfaction. Reviews work processes, recommends measures to improve performance, equipment performance, and over quality of service. Maintains a relationship with each of the accounts and their management to ensure customer satisfaction. Keeps accurate records and prepares and submits required paperwork. May train, evaluate employee performance, and approve promotions, transfers, and disciplinary
action. This is a hands-on position requiring regular presence at company’s offices, working nights and weekends as business needs dictate, and being able to travel as required. This position cannot be fulfilled remotely and you must be able to work the hours assigned. As with all positions at this company, consistent punctual arrival at work, commitment to necessary hours, positive attitude, and adherence to the Company’s policies is expected and is an essential aspect of employment with the Company.

Responsibilities:
- Directs and oversees all New England operations for Company.
- Directs and assigns workflow to Fleet Managers and Planners.
- Researches and resolves account issues relating to performance.
- Works directly with customers to ensure contractual metrics are met.
- Creates and deploys continuing education of the Fleet Manager’s processes and procedures.
- Maintains employee records and ensures compliance with safety and compliance policies and procedures.
- Hires, trains, motivates, evaluates, and disciplines all Regional and Local Management.
- Works directly with the Safety and Compliance department to update and maintain hiring and DOT processes.
- Ensures the timely and accurate completion of payroll, employee pay, and client billing for each location within the region.
- Responsible for analyzing, implementing, and managing all aspects of the Logistics Operations Department.
- Deploys and assists with IT implementation, changes, and workflows.
- Prepares daily and weekly reports to the Director of Operations of the overall performance and each accounts satisfaction with our service.
- Travels periodically to customer sites or other Company locations.
- Complies with all safety regulations and report any hazards, injuries, or violations immediately.
- Attends and participates in employee meetings, trainings, and development.
- Performs all other functions and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Operations.
- Conducts personal visits to customer locations.
- Performs metric analysis for Key Performance Indicators and makes strategic operational decisions based on trending data.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management or related field is required.
- 3 - 5 years of related industry experience is required.
- Minimum of 2 years prior management experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years of Transportation Management Software Experience require.
- Must have strong operations experience.
- Excellent communication skills and must be able to interact with all levels of personnel.
- Must be a positive team player and have the ability to work harmoniously and effectively with staff, customers, contractors, suppliers/vendors, colleagues and Management.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must have the ability to set and manage changing priorities and exhibit good time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Effective problem resolution skills.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Must be an active listener and have the ability to receive input from others and regularly provide positive feedback.
- Experience with computers and Microsoft Office, including the ability to learn, comprehend and utilize new computer programs.
- Experienced with Routing, GPS software and all other relevant software platforms.
