As a global leading provider of engineering, procurement and construction management expertise to the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors we are proud to be able to expand our team in Wilton and we have partnered with Airswift to support our recruitment plans in 2024. We are currently recruiting for a Lead Project Control Engineer to be placed in Milan then Maputo and would be on a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. The main function is to be responsible for controlling the project budgets, schedule, risk, and Change Management. Also, that the project management team is kept informed of the key project drivers and metrics. Responsibilities
• Support of Project Controls Team and its actions, process, procedures and deliverables. Including schedule, cost, risk and change control through effective management and reporting • Maintain effective Project Controls, including cost, budget, schedule, and progress tracking. • Maintain risk management processes for effective project risk management • Maintain reporting criteria, content, and format for all Onshore reporting requirements • Monitor schedule interfaces between multiple contractors and resolve schedule conflicts. • Ensure preparation of cost reports; are properly explained and communicated to the project team • Ensure tracking of contingency, management reserve, and approved changes to project budget • Co-ordination between Project Controls and C&P functions within the project. • Deputise for Onshore Project Services Manager when required • Provide Project Management support to General Manager for specific tasks or issues • Promote a culture of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) awareness within the project Skills / Qualifications
- Education: Masters or bachelor's degree in business management or Engineering
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in major oil and gas Project Control
- Major Oil and Gas project developments knowledge and experience, with Partner and Government reporting interfaces
- Knowledgeable and experienced with cost engineering principles, schedule and planning principles and methods. Working knowledge of corrosion and degradation mechanisms and able to review materials of construction for equipment in gas service.
