Job Title: Lead Product Owner

Salary: £66,100 - £88,500

Location: Cambridge UK, hybrid

Contract: Fixed term until June 2025. Full time, 35 hours per week.

About the role

The Lead Product Owner role is responsible for the management of our new and evolving portfolio of platforms that are supporting our Cambridge Online Education business stream:

  • Cambridge Advance Online course marketing website – where B2C and B2B customers can browse and consider courses.
  • University of Cambridge Online checkout journey – where B2C and B2B customers can pay and enrol to courses.
  • B2B client portal – where B2B customers can manage their orders and get status updates on course completion.
  • Learning management system – where learners take their courses.

Within this remit the role requires you to have the ability to engage with senior stakeholders, come up with a product vision and strategy, size and shape opportunities, balance business requirements with customer needs, is critical to the success of this role.

Managing a small team of Product Owners, you will orchestrate requirements gathering, prioritisation and road mapping. Through close collaboration with UX researchers and designers you will advocate for users and customers.

As our products and platforms are evolving you will partner with our Technology colleagues to shape, optimise, grow and deliver them while working with partners within the University to shape and develop new initiatives.

 

 About you

  • You are experienced in working in senior product management and/or Product Ownership roles and can confidently lead initiatives and products through various lifecycle stages from opportunity evaluation all the way through to design, delivery and ongoing optimisation.
  • A creative problem solver, you think outside of the box and can resolve conflicts and (business and/or customer) problems independently.
  • You feel comfortable and confident being ultimately responsible for the Cambridge Online Education portfolio of platforms and see change and challenge as opportunities rather than impediments.
  • Adept with agile, customer centric and global working environments, you have excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills.
