Provide leadership and initiative in the overall coordination of designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs highly complex software programs for enhancements and new products. Responsible for highly complex concept design through the full development life cycle. Prepares and conducts systems programming test requiring interfacing and software tests. Coaches others in less senior positions.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform code reviews, developer testing and debugging for all features of the project
  • Design and document new/existing software solutions using diagrams, flow charts, dashboards, and reports
  • Conduct proof-of-concepts using new software tools/libraries, programming techniques, and emerging concepts to identify areas for advancement of the project
  • Coordinate with the development team(s) to increase collaboration and productivity, reducing dependencies where possible
  • Coordinate with the product and engineering managers to provide technical details and status updates for new/existing features
  • Provide technical instructions and assist with the prioritization of work items across numerous agile ceremonies (sprint planning, story grooming, bug triage etc.), while maintaining InfoSec compliance requirements for open-source software, code quality, bugs and vulnerabilities

Skills:

  • Expertise in modern JavaScript (ES6+), React, and other relevant frontend technologies and frameworks
  • Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques and best practices
  • Solid grasp of web standards, accessibility, and SEO principles
  • Knowledge of databases (Cosmos, SQL, Postgres, Liquibase)
  • Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and inspire a team of engineers
  • Technical documentation and experience with data visualization tools
  • Ability to work on multiple projects independently
  • Basic knowledge of DevOps management and infrastructure as a service (IaaS)
  • Project management experience (nice to have)
  • Backend development experience in Java, Kotlin as well as Python (nice to have)
 
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Five (5) to seven (7) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
Domicile Information:
This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.

Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, California, Rhode Island, Washington, Hawaii, Illinois and New Jersey Residents Only - Compensation: Monthly Salary: $10,667.00 - $13,333.00. This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include but are not limited to your specific skills, your work location, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
