As a Java/J2EE Technical Lead you are at the forefront of driving innovation and excellence in Javabased software development. Responsibilities:
- Support team to prioritize tasks to Identify impacted Oracle Java installs on all servers and all environments (regardless of in use or not)
- Identify Applications using Oracle Java
- Download and install AWS Corretto with a matching Java version
- Switch Application Runtime to use AWS Corretto
- Do general functionality testing to ensure the Application is working as expected
- Delete all copies of the Oracle Java Application Runtime
- Developers install AWS Corretto Java on the local development environment
- Switch local development environment to use AWS Corretto
- Restart laptop/desktop
- Ensure the local development environment works as expected (debug/compile)
- Delete all local copies of Oracle Java
- Remove from VDI Images
- Remove Oracle Java from VDI Images
- Add AWS Corretto to VDI Images
- Remove from Server Images
- Work with Middle Ware team to remove Oracle Java from standard server images
- Work with the Middle Ware team to add AWS Corretto to standard server images
- Remove from Cloud Containers/AMIs
- Support team to prioritize task to Identify if impacted Oracle Java installs exist in Cloud Containers and Amazon Machine Images (AMI)
- Replace Oracle Java with AWS Corretto across all containers and AMIs
- Ongoing Detection and Notification
- Work with relevant teams for solutions to scan servers desktops laptops and Cloud containers for impacted Oracle Java
- Create a process for notifications and remediations
