Education required: Master's degree in Chemistry, CTF or similar field. A minimum technical knowledge of analytical chemistry and analytical biochemistry is desired, a high agility and a high desire to learn is expected.
Other requirements:
Hard skill:
* Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry and biochemistry
* Basic knowledge of mass spectrometry is a plus
* Proficiency in English

What will you do?
Context
Exciting opportunity open within our Italian Technical R&D Drug Product - Global Product Development Organization. In this role, you will develop your scientific knowledge, will be part of a highly talented team of scientists with the mission of developing formulations and Drug Product processes for our vaccines, serving hundreds of millions of patients across the world.
The intern is expected to provide laboratory support for vaccine Product Characterization, by either applying fit-for-purpose analytical methods intended for Product Characterization or by developing new tools.
Project intern description: main purpose, activities and expected results
The intern will collaborate with scientific staff to define the panel of Product Characterization methods to be included in the Drug Product analytical toolbox, to evaluate applicability of currently available methods to multiple modalities and to develop novel platform approaches to be applied in routine for Drug Product development. The intern will have access to technical R&D laboratories and analytical equipment, including for example UPLC (with multiple detectors), mass spectrometers, calorimeters (DSF/DSC), DLS, and many others.
The intern will be trained to use of most of the available analytical systems and on relevant data processing and elaboration software.
Competencies the intern will develop thanks to the internship experience:
At the end of the internship the intern will have a deep knowledge of technologies and methods for Drug Product characterization and will be able to use analytics for analyzing vaccines and biopharmaceuticals. Also, will develop a general understanding of method development and verification of performance.
