HSE Coordinator Latina (m/f) 

Bayer CropScience srl is looking for a brilliant and motivated HSE Coordinator for our Vegetable R&D station based in Latina.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow up on Bayer HSE requirements as well as local legal requirements in HSE matters.  Implement policies, directives, procedures, guidelines, training and other supporting materials to ensure compliance with both corporate and legal requirements
• Organize and coordinate HSE activities, meetings, training, etc. at the site to ensure support for and understanding of HSE programs and procedures
• Roll-out the actions defined for the business/function master plan to all sites
• Coordinate and improve the hazard recognition and observation/coaching process at the site
• Conduct internal audits, document results and follow-up on action plans
• Monitor country regulatory requirements
• Encourage reporting of safety observations, near misses and first aid.  Conduct incident investigations in a qualitative manner.  Communicate and record relevant incidents with all relevant stakeholders
• Regularly report progress to the site leadership, using appropriate performance indicators and management review processes. Interact with site supervisors and employees to gain their full support and understanding of our programs, goals and objectives
• Network with the other sites in the region to seek out the best practices available
• Participate in regional networks and contribute to regional or sub-regional projects
• Be a solution provider and be able to identify gaps early in order to take appropriate preventative action
   

WHO YOU ARE:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Agronomy, Electrical, other)
• 3+ years of experience as an HSE technician or coordinator
• Experience with auditing and training programs
• Certified Management Systems knowledge (ISO/OHSAS) is a plus
• Demonstrated problem solving skills to understand and manage volatile, rapidly changing markets
• Strong communication skills and excellent negotiation skills with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Strong customer focus mindset
• Self-motivation, agile mindset, strategic and innovative thinking, business acumen, experimentation and passion to deliver great results
• Strong Microsoft Office knowledge
• Excellent knowledge of English and Italian mother tongue
