MajorResponsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Referraland Emergency Doctor, the Nurse is responsible for:
Responding and managing the hotlinecalls, activating the emergency teams, referring patients to appropriateservices ensure the receiving of services according to the most updatedservices map.
Assessing the conditions of the patient, initiating medical attention, and performing the role of registered nurse
Handle the triage role of patients based on the initial assessment.
Aiding physician as required during treatment and examination.
Updating patients’ registration books and other related appointment information.
Maintaining and reviewing patient records, charts, and other pertinent information relating to kept track.
Maintaining patient confidentiality.
Performing other related duties within the clinic as may be assigned.
Preparing and facilitating regular health education sessions for patients at the clinics in coordination with the clinic staff.
Assist other program staff whenever needed.
Providing, First Aid/ emergency medical services / Triaging and Referrals to the secondary facilities, in Responding to Rescue at Sea Operations according to the notifications from the IRC team.
Providing and assisting already admitted patients to secondary health facilities as needed and in coordination with the referral doctors.
Other relevant tasks requested by the line management; accordingly.
Staff management
The Nurse will not be line-managing anyinternal staff. S/he might supervise and train volunteers to provide healthcarein supported PHC facilities if needed.

By thesevalues, the IRC operates and enforces policies on Beneficiary Protection fromExploitation and Abuse, Child Safeguarding, Anti Workplace Harassment, FiscalIntegrity, and Anti-Retaliation.

Position Reports to Emergencyand Referral Doctor.
WorkingEnvironment: This position will be based in the IRC field office in Eastern Libyawith frequent visits to the field sites
