We are looking for a Kitchen Manager / Head Chef to oversee and manage all aspects of our kitchens across our two hotels and events and wedding venue in Buckinghamshire.

With circa 100 wedding per year a calendar of corporate clients and a restaurant and bar you will be experienced in kitchen management (including embracing relevant technologies) menu preparation and have a commercially driven approach to ensuring revenue and GP targets are recognised and our restaurants are culinary and financially successful.

In addition to the management aspects of the role you will be actively involved in the daytoday operations of the kitchen and food service ensuring excellence in delivery through elevated gastro pub fare and exceptional wedding and event menus

We are looking for an experienced and professional chef with strong kitchen management and excellent people skills who will work with the history of the building and the senior management team to present a locally sourced traditional menu

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daytoday operation of your kitchens with a focus on excellence of delivery.
  • Work closely with all the chefs to ensure standards are met and exceeded across all kitchens.
  • Implement procedures to ensure clean and efficient kitchens.
  • Inspire and upskill chefs to ensure quality and consistency of food and service.
  • Create and implement a kitchen operation manual for the company.
  • Using the relevant software review all food costings procurement and profit margins to ensure we hit our desired GP.
  • Manage processes across all kitchens to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • To have full accountability and ownership of the kitchen budgets.
  • Take ownership over monthly stock check and multi venue ordering.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Passion for quality fresh locally sourced ingredients
  • Strong kitchen management with previous experience of working across multi kitchens.
  • Financially aware with good budgeting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Meticulous organised & punctual.
  • An inspiring leader who is respectful and commands respect.
