The Global Account Manager develops, secures, grows, and maintains revenue and margin for FCC's most complex and strategic accounts. The GAM has primary account responsibilities, and develops, articulates and executes the secondary coverage strategies for all of their assigned accounts. The GAM creates the strategy for their accounts and leads collaboration efforts across all FedEx operating companies. The GAM is responsible for the collection and understanding of relevant customer, industry and competitive information in their accounts. Collaborates within the organization - including pricing, operations, finance, solutions and sales administration. Responsible for achieving the profitability and other goals established by the company for their accounts.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Customer Relationships - Develop and maintain relationships via face-to-face sales calls on all assigned accounts, including appropriate entertainment as approved by FCC Sales Management. Understand the account's environment (customer's contracts, influencers, key locations, political landscape, etc.) Acts as the subject matter expert in all FCC Services by utilizing resources such as, but not limited to, Sales Education and Product Knowledge Training.
  • Sales Plans & Strategy - Develops, leads and executes the strategy on assigned accounts to achieve revenue and margin goals, as well as direct secondary coverage to execute desired strategies. Strategy and planning will be reviewed and approved at the management level. Analyze and interface with Solutions to complete requests for proposals, contracts, quarterly business reviews and key performance indicators. The GAM will review and be responsible for effectively managing the process and final submission. Tracks and assures the profitability of assigned accounts. Review data monthly for purchase transportation, contribution margin, days sales outstanding, pricing compliance, etc.
  • Sales Research - Conducts market research and analysis in uncovering new potential business.
  • Collaboration - Work directly with other FedEx Operating Companies to accommodate customer needs and corporate goals. Collaborate other department to ensure customer needs and corporate goals are satisfied.
  • Sales Systems - Maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system(s) to accurately reflect territory activity, contact information and opportunities. Work extensively with MS Office products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) to effectively present and share information both internally and externally.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor degree required, or equivalent work experience, Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5 – 7 years’ experience required in corporate or national account sales.
  • 8 years’ experience preferred in transportation or other related industry.
  • Ability to travel (including international) up to70%.
  • Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport.
  • Strong understanding of fiscal accountability.
  • Ability to lead and navigate skills as it applies to Corporate and Inside Sales in supporting field locations of their assigned accounts.
  • Sets a positive example within the organization.
  • Effectively collaborate with other sales teams and departments.
  • Strong presentation skills. (ability to present to C-level)
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite software.

Colorado Residents Only – Compensation: Annual Salary: $82,300.00 - $137,300.00. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range or starting rate of candidates hired in Colorado. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, your work location, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role. This information is provided to applicants in accordance to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
