The InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace is a luxury hotel in the center of the City with 160 rooms and suites in warm tones, natural materials, enriched with neoclassical and contemporary details. For our International Luxury Hotel Brand located in the heart of Rome, we are looking for a passionate Assistant Night Manager to join our Night operations team. The candidate will cooperate closely with our Night Manager (reporting to Front Office Manager) in providing excellent customer service, making sure accounting and operational tasks are completed to the highest level.
Every day is different, but you will mostly be:
* Effectively and efficiently supporting the Night Manager during night operations;
* Efficiently proceeding with night audit and day closure, report printing, ensuring all relevant information are handed over to day team;
* Processing payments including room charges, debit and credit, cash and cheques in accordance with established procedures;
* Checking guests in & out; managing and actioning any wake-up call requests;
* Answering phones and dealing with overnight guest queries;
* Dealing with guest complaints, delivering immediate solutions and follow up;
* Performing other duties such as concierge services and handling special guest requests;
* Being responsible (together with Night Manager or in his absence) of decision making

* A natural passion for hospitality industry and willingness to go the extra mile for our guests;
* Reliability and ability to work under pressure;
* Strong verbal communication and listening skills, for effective and pleasant interactions with guests and other team members;
* Computer literacy, including familiarity with Opera PMS;
* Accounting and mathematics skills for accurate auditing and payment processing;
* Cash handling experience;
* Excellent customer service approach;
* Knowledge of hotel operations, offers and the local area;
* Fluency in Italian & English language (both written and spoken) - extra language skills would be considered a bonus;
* Knowledge of loyalty programs and PMS (Opera) are a plus (not essential);
* Preferred previous working experience within Supervisory/Management roles in International Luxury Hotel Brands
