POSITION OVERVIEW
Aman Venice is looking for a bright F&B Director to join our property in Venice. The role will overlook the F&B department in all aspects and tasks, supervising the Restaurant, Bar and our Kitchen.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and ensure smooth operations
- Effective participation in coordinating and controlling F&B departments
- Conducts regular tours of front and back of F&B operations to check on set-up / service / food quality / general maintenance / cleanliness
- Recommends improvements in all aspects of their appointed sections as appropriate
- Assist with staffing schedules for kitchen and F&B staff
- Assist in hiring, training and supervising of kitchen, F&B staff and stewarding brigade
- Inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with quality, sanitation, and safety standards
- Oversee together with the Executive Chef the purchase of food items and equipment used in food preparation
- Participate in meetings and maintain appropriate records/files as required
- Lead by example, fostering departmental teamwork and collaboration
- Maintain awareness of the Hotel occupancy levels, reservations, group business and special requests and functions and their potential effect on department operations
- Ensure all inventories, schedules and time sensitive needs/reports are supplied to those requesting on a timely basis
- Schedules regular team meetings to achieve solid communication throughout departments
- Work and coordinate together with the S&M department the smooth running of events
QUALIFICATIONS
- Fluent in both written and verbal English
- Previous experience in similar roles
- Full knowledge of dining room and kitchen procedures, as well as staff management experience, is required
- Proficient in the use of Micros and Oracle Systems
