Epoxy Resin Service Engineer

 

We are looking for an Epoxy Resin Service Engineer to increase the number of our resin engineers, who are responsible for working (mainly on board) with Epoxy Resin materials to perform various tasks such as coating, bonding, and repairing surfaces.

 

The preferred location for this position is Trieste and Genoa, Italy. When you are not working in the field, hybrid work (from home) is an option.

 

Your role and responsibilities 

 

As an Epoxy Resin Service Engineer, your work typically involves preparing surfaces, mixing and applying Epoxy Resin, monitoring curing processes, and ensuring quality control. You may also be involved in troubleshooting and repairing Epoxy Resin applications. You will carry on the service jobs assigned by the Service Coordinator; ensure that quality service reports are submitted after job completion to the Service coordinator; use and maintain the working tools in accordance with good mechanical work practices and conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures & instructions.

 

Your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Timely completion of all jobs assigned.
  • Quality and efficiency of Epoxy resin jobs.
  • Writing of reports and prepare the relevant documentation.
  • Safety management including zero injuries.
  • Travelling around 80% of time.

 

Requirements for the position 

 

  • Vocational degree / Mechanical Technical School.
  • Hands-on skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar job.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and procedures.
  • A good knowledge of the English language is required.
  • Able to travel during 80% of the time, on average, in Italy and abroad when required.

  • Some knowledge on metallurgy.
  • Previous experience working in Shipyards and/or vessels.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Team player attitude.
  • Ability to deal with people of different nationality.
  • Problem-solving skills.
