Senior Data Engineer P2 - Enterprise Data Management

The Enterprise Data program is developing a fully integrated and intuitive data and analytics platform. This platform will enable Lilly team members to quickly view, access, and analyze data sets in statistical environments, advanced analytics environments, and BI/visualization tools. Contributors can easily ingest, prepare, and analyze new data sets (cleanse, enhance, publish) for others to utilize.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build high-performance and scalable data pipelines adhering to data lake house, data warehouse & data marts standards for optimal storage, retrieval, and processing of data.
- Ability to work with business owners to define key business requirements and convert to technical specifications.
- Experience with security models and development on large data sets
- Responsible for system testing, ensuring effective resolution of defects, timely discussion around business issues and appropriate management of resources relevant to data and integration.
- Participate in regular SAFe Agile framework team ceremonies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, management information systems or equivalent work experience
- 8 to 10 years of development experience in the core tools and technologies like SQL, Python, AWS ( Lambda, Glue, S3, Redshift, RDS, DMS, Athena, IAM Roles & Policies) , PySpark used by the solution services team.
- 3+ years of experience in Agile Development and code deployment using Github & CI-CD pipelines.
- Exposure in the design, data modelling, creation and management of large datasets/data models
- Performance tuning.
- OLTP and OLAP data modeling.
- Devops impelementation.
- 5 Years of ETL and ELT solution implementation.
