Doctoral research position (f/m/d)

for advanced academic training to obtain research skills an academic competences according to Section 2 (1) of the German Academic Fixed-Term Contract Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz) to be filled from 01.06.2024.

The position is funded by the DFG research project “Multiaxis Nanofabrication Machine”.

Your tasks

Your job tasks include:

• Fundamental research and engineering work in the DFG funded project Multiaxis Nanofabrication Machine
• Develop methods for calibration of the 5D length/angle
• Precision instrument construction, mechanics, electronics, servo-control
• Validation and determination of the measurement uncertainty

Your profile

For being part of the selection process is needed:

• an excellent university degree (Master or Diploma (Univ.)) in a related area such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science or physics

Following competences are desirable:

• excellent English and scientific skills
• team spirit and willingness to cooperate in an interdisciplinary and international team
• highly motivated
