Customer Project Manager

What You ll do

Within CX, Project Managers are responsible for making amazing things happen for our customers. Our development teams make extraordinary products and our CX Project Managers guide new technology into our customer s production environments.

Who You'll Work With

Project managers work with many teams inside Cisco and with our clients. You will be working with highly technical engineers and architects, leaders and executives, finance, and business operations.

Who You Are

Ideally you are a certified Project Manager who invests in keeping your skills up to date, and leading projects within scope and budget.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leads end-to-end medium to large project delivery against contractual requirements, forecasting, reporting, revenue and profitability targets while maintaining an excellent customer experience.
  • Provide leadership, hold customers and the project team accountable to deliver projects on-time, within budget with high quality, while achieving customer satisfaction
  • Identifies project staffing requirements, drives staffing across Cisco CX functions and coordinates project team members to drive delivery excellence within target cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Communicates effectively with executives and various teams to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies.
  • Strong decision making across medium to large virtual project teams.

Required experience:

The successful candidate has the capabilities to prioritise multiple demands from internal and external customers while still able to deliver successful projects in-scope and within budget. The candidate is able to drive focus on the tactical activities but can also see the overall strategic objectives of the customer and how it fits into the larger business picture. The candidate has exceptional communications skills with strong capabilities in project management to drive team members to success. A driving personality with a competency to adapt to different customer dynamics is a must. Additionally, the position will require a resource that is capable of grasping Cisco technologies and solutions, as well as an ability to effectively manage projects, timelines, budgets and resources to support those Cisco technologies and solutions. The candidate has vast experience in presenting to key stakeholders, understanding business challenges and developing solutions and leading successful delivery teams to achieve business objectives. Consulting experience and capabilities are highly sought after.

Capabilities include:

  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification or equivalent in addition to 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager
  • Strong project management skills including scheduling, financial reporting, performance reporting, communications, issues/risks/actions management, procurement management and other key PM requirements.
  • Strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage.
  • Exemplary command of the English and local language, both oral and written.
  • Experience with navigating various environments where culture and structure varies within the organization with political navigation skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Business or a related field
  • Very proficient in the following software tools: Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • PMO governance development, oversight and ownership
  • Facilitator, leader and motivator
  • Assessment and problem solving skills

Preferred skills:

  • Extensive Program/Project Industry knowledge
  • Executive client facing experience, experience in the Local market is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in basic legal contract knowledge.
  • Expertise leading large scale multi-technology engagements in a highly complex environment.
  • Project experience with the designing and deployment of Cisco Technologies
  • An Agile Project Management certification such as PMI-ACP, SAFe or CSM are also beneficial.
  • Bilingual, Arabic speaking is a huge plus.
  • Multinational background is also a plus.

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
