The Beauty and Wellbeing Category covers a variety of well-known brands such as Andrelon, Tresemme, Dove, Vaseline, Simple and Sunsilk to name a few. Within this our Beauty & Wellbeing EU R&D team is embarking on an exciting journey as it looks for a Market R&D Expert based in Roma, Italy. This role is part of the Business Unit for Beauty & Wellbeing Europe, focusing specifically on Hair & Skin Care categories. In your role as Beauty & Wellbeing Market R&D Expert in Italy you are partnering with Brand, Regulatory, Legal and other R&D functions to deliver all relevant Market R&D milestones for product launches, promotional activities and partnership with the business.
You will also be responsible for (1) local claims approvals and risk evaluations together with Regulatory and Legal, (2) to drive customer engagement through technologies, (3) create content and showcasing science, and (4) monitor market dynamics i.e. competitor news.
KEY Responsibilities:
* You will be the market R&D expert for our Beauty & Wellbeing business in Italy.
* Within R&D you are leading the implementation of projects in your market.
* Providing general support for any R&D-related topics such as consumer queries and inputting information for local taxes is also part of your job.
* For technical claims, i.e. product messages you are the key R&D voice working closely with the brand teams and the legal department for alignment in your country. You will also ensure artworks are fit for purpose and in accordance with relevant legislation und (COMPANY NAME) policies.
* You are fascinated about creating scientific content to explain our superior technologies internally and externally.
* As the R&D ambassador for Beauty & Wellbeing in your country you will proudly present our products and technologies in customer meetings.
* You will monitor the competitor market and analyze its dynamics i.e. competitor news with high focus on innovations, new technologies and claims.
* The notification of products in the EU portal will also be at your hands.

Does this sound like you?
* Degree in a relevant scientific/technical discipline - like Cosmetic Science, Food Science, Chemistry or equivalent.
* You have a good knowledge and at least 1 to 3 years of experience in R&D of consumer goods, ideally in cosmetics.
* You are fascinated about beauty products and its technologies.
* You are flexible, independent, proactive and have very good project management and presentation skills.
* You enjoy communicating with different functions and working in an international team.
* You are a team player with the ability to work autonomously
* You speak Italian (fluent) and English (B2) since we regularly communicate in both languages.
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools round up your profile.
