Job Title: Business Change Leader

Salary: £33,300 - £43,400

Location: Cambridge or Gateshead/Hybrid

Contract: Permanent/Full Time (35 hours per week)

This role sits in the Transformation Team, a vital part within the International Education group. The purpose of our team is to shape and manage both technical and non-technical projects and change for International Education, understanding the complexity of our systems, processes, products and customers.

Our team thinks creatively to find better ways of doing things, identifying and driving opportunities for improvement which are underpinned by evidence from business teams. This role is responsible for leading, planning, designing, documenting, and managing change projects.

Examples of the types of projects our team lead include:

  • Launching new products into new markets
  • Developing technical solutions to business problems
  • Reviewing our portfolio of products
  • Upgrades or replacements of technical systems
  • Process improvements

 About you

 We are looking for a Business Change Leader who can evidence successful delivery of change in organisations. Our Business Change Leaders use their skills in project and change management, business analysis and improvement skills to deliver change for International Education.

Our Business Change Leaders need to have:

  • A foundational understanding of change and project management approaches and methodologies. We would expect to see a qualification in Project and/or Change Management (or equivalent experience) as well as previous experience on-the-job experience.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills. Communication and stakeholder management will be key to your success, collaborating with senior leaders and supporting employees to build their readiness and adaptability to change.
  • Strong leadership skills with creative problem-solving abilities to constructively challenge assumptions to deliver the best outcome for our customers (both internal and external).
  • A logical and analytical approach to solving business problems. We expect Business Change Leaders to be able to work with stakeholders to understand and articulate the business problem and assess options and impacts.
  • An ability to work independently as well as being a team player.
  • An adaptable and flexible approach.
  • An ability to work in a complex, changing environment.

Ideal requirements:

  • Experience of working in both agile and waterfall project delivery teams
  • Experience working both technical and non-technical change projects
