Job Description

We are currently seeking a Women’s LG Senior Collection Merchandiser as part of our dynamic team in Milan.

How you will contribute:

Support in the definition of the collection merchandising strategy for Women’s Bags, Small Leather Goods and Belts together with the Leathergoods Collection Merchandising Manager :

• COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT
  • Build Collection Briefs and define the structure of the for WLG categories, proposing innovative ways to sustain and grow the product range.
  • Undertake benchmark and competitor analysis while remaining up to date on trends and news from the fashion industry.
  • Become the referent on collection development with Design and Product development teams and a contact point for other departments non product related.
  • Monitor sample reception and follow-up with Product team to support thoroughly the development of the collection.
  • Build and maintain impeccable collection tools (collection plans, pricing database, etc) to monitor with clear vision all the collection activities.

• PRICING & REPORTS
  • Define the pricing architecture of the collection and ensure consistency vs carry-over and competitors.
  • Maintain the pricing database to allow a close monitoring of the collections season after season.
  • Conduct sales analysis and build strong visual reports to communicate key messages to design and product development teams.

• SHOWROOM
  • Be a key actor in developing the showroom selling tools and training preparations - explain the collection inspiration, direction, and relevant product information to help convey the product’s strategy.
  • Collaborate with retail merchandising team, gathering continuous market feedback to identify specific opportunities and trends.
  • Lead showroom activities for WLG, take an active part in selling campaign coordinating with retail stakeholders and wholesale clients
  • Oversee product transfers and coordinate with showroom teams to ensure successful course of buying activities.
  • Support VM and Architecture teams during showroom activities and in prevision of the collection delivery in store.

Who you are:

• Merchandising experience: 5 years minimum in an established luxury brand (including experience on Leather Goods categories).
• Fluent in English, with ability to speak and understand Italian
• Passion for product and curiosity for technical aspects and craftmanship
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Office.
• Organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail oriented
• Aesthetical sensibility and attention to detail
• Teamwork and good relational skills.
• Based in Milan or willing to relocate
