Job Description:
Athonet provides a complete in-house software-based LTE/5G connectivity platform that runs in cloud or virtualized data centre environments and on ruggedized hardware. Our platform allows customers to break free from the restrictive, expensive, proprietary telco-centric architecture of legacy solutions and embrace the true potential of wireless.

Responsibilities:
- Be a valuable member of our team, dedicated to IMS solution development and maintenance.
- Develop features, algorithms, and protocols based on 3GPP standards.
- Apply your experience in technical analysis, software design, and implementation.
- Collaborate with software architects to lead the definition of technical solutions using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure.
- Ensure codebase quality by conducting thorough code reviews.
- Deliver value through a collaborative, cross-functional team approach.
- Contribute creative solutions to enhance teamwork and project outcomes.
Desirable Knowledge and skills :
- Knowledge of multi-threaded programming (C/C++) or functional programming (Erlang/Elixir)
- Experience with Docker and containerized applications
- Experience with VoIP/SIP and IMS protocol is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Practical knowledge of networking (a background in a telco industry is a plus)
- Fluent in English and Italian
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- 5+ years experience in SW development
Nice to have:
- Experience with OSS VoIP applications; kamailio, rtpengine, freeswitch;
- Knowledge of 3GPP and 4G/5G mobile networks
- Knowledge of Erlang/OTP or Elixir
- Experience with complex distributed systems
