We are looking for a collaborative and proactive Assistant Project Manager who can support the successful delivery of transformative education reform projects.  

  • The Assistant Project Manager will engage with colleagues from the UK, Australia, Philippines and across the globe.   
  • Partnership for Education works with ministries of education and other organisations around the world to improve their education systems through coherent reform strategies. 
  • As one of our team of Assistant Project Managers, you will support projects at the direction of a Programme Manager, delivering education reform to clients who include ministries of education and donor organisations.

What makes you the ideal candidate in this role? 

 

This is a chance for you to join thePartnership for Education Delivery team, which focuses on providing high-quality project management services.

Key responsibilities include:   

  • Supporting education reform projects: Collaborating with internal technical teams, external suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely delivery of high-quality project deliverables.
  • Enabling project mobilization: Setting up systems, file structures, registers, and project meetings, while also conducting research and implementing controls.
  • Coordinating transparent reporting: Providing timely updates on project performance and risks to project steering groups, clients, and the wider team.
  • Supporting project completion: Actively engaging in lessons learned and post-completion impact studies.

The ideal candidate will: 

  • Have at least two years' experience in a similar or related role. 
  • Have experience supporting projects in international or multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Be calm under pressure, with an ability to handle competing requests and liaise with senior colleagues.
  • Be highly collaborative, able to deliver a project with integrity and commitment.
  • Have a Prince2 or Agile certification or relevant experience/trainings to demonstrate similar evidence of project management
