RINA is currently recruiting for a Aerospace CAD Designer to join its office in Rome within the Materials & Technologies Division.
Mission
RINA is looking for a aerospace CAD designer to expand our Industry team based in ROME (Italy)
Key Accountabilities
- To create and refine geometrical designs for aerospace components using CAD software, collaborating closely with the product project manager.
- To define parametric CAD models for the optimization of the geometry updating phases that are necessary during the various design and verification steps. To use 3D, 2D and surface design modules.
- To perform the 2D drawings of the parts by setting the production phases, the work and integration cycles, interfacing with the material executors of the processes.
- To define the construction tolerances and to perform critical analysis of the impact on integration.
- To define the dimensional control specifications of the parts to be manufactured.
- To perform preliminary FEM structural analyses to identify any critical areas in relation to the dimensioning loads during the modeling phase.
- To size the seals, flanges and bolts between the various parts.
- To elaborate technical documents relating to the mechanical design activities performed (technical notes, dimensional control specifications, configuration of product drawings, etc...).
Education
Qualifications
- Space / Aerospace / Mechanical Engineering Degree
- 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing
- Structural simulations
- Design of seals, bolts and flanges
- Knowledge of CATIA, MATLAB, ANSYS, Microsoft Office SWs
- Knowledge of cryogenic liquid propulsion and its basic components
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Demonstrated capability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
