RINA is currently recruiting for a Aerospace CAD Designer to join its office in Rome within the Materials & Technologies Division.

Mission

RINA is looking for a aerospace CAD designer to expand our Industry team based in ROME (Italy)

Key Accountabilities

  • To create and refine geometrical designs for aerospace components using CAD software, collaborating closely with the product project manager.
  • To define parametric CAD models for the optimization of the geometry updating phases that are necessary during the various design and verification steps. To use 3D, 2D and surface design modules.
  • To perform the 2D drawings of the parts by setting the production phases, the work and integration cycles, interfacing with the material executors of the processes.
  • To define the construction tolerances and to perform critical analysis of the impact on integration.
  • To define the dimensional control specifications of the parts to be manufactured.
  • To perform preliminary FEM structural analyses to identify any critical areas in relation to the dimensioning loads during the modeling phase.
  • To size the seals, flanges and bolts between the various parts.
  • To elaborate technical documents relating to the mechanical design activities performed (technical notes, dimensional control specifications, configuration of product drawings, etc...).

Education

Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications

  • Space / Aerospace / Mechanical Engineering Degree
  • 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing
  • Structural simulations
  • Design of seals, bolts and flanges
  • Knowledge of CATIA, MATLAB, ANSYS, Microsoft Office SWs
  • Knowledge of cryogenic liquid propulsion and its basic components
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated capability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
