Accounting Receivable Clerk
Scope of Work

Duties and Responsibilities
As Accounting Receivable Clerk, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:
* Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
* Monitors receivables by totalling unpaid invoices.
* Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, Front Office, F&B and from customers.
* Posts valid or authorized charges by entering adjusting entries in various hotel accounts.
* Resolves invalid or unauthorized transactions by following appropriate standard procedures.
* Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line.
* Summarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating daily transfers to accounts receivable account; verifying totals.
* Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
* Answers phone calls from members, groups, and guests.
* Researches and follows up on chargebacks.
* Works closely with all Sales/Events Managers to establish necessary credit for upcoming groups/events and to prepare final bills to clients
* Complies with governmental and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
* Compiles statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses.
* Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualification
Qualifications
To execute the position of Accounting Receivable Clerk, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:
* Diploma or equivalent in Finance or Accounting and professional accounting body certification and at least 1 year experience in a hotel accounting role or similar setting. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
* Technical skills include advanced MS Office, Outlook platforms and Materials Control (MC), plus able to operate 10-key calculators and to perform calculations. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including POS, PMS and CRM platforms.
* Fluent in Italian and English. I understand that additional languages are preferred.
* Eligible to work in Italy (only EU Citizens).
