2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor - Healthcare
Our client is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor to join their team.
Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Oversees a small team of mechanics and porters.
- Maintains the preventive maintenance programs.
- Aids the maintenance team in performing diagnostic troubleshooting.
- Monitors quality of repairs.
- Oversees building and physical plant repair issues.
- Maintains porter schedule to maximize cleaning effectiveness of plant and machinery.
- Adheres to safety programs.
- Assists with interviewing and selection of new employees, trains, coaches, reviews, meets with, and promotes strong people.
- Handles daily staffing logistics.
- Disciplines, trains, mentors and collaborates with management on the termination of employees.
- Develops a team of employees.
- Seeks opportunities for growth.
- Helps people learn to improve.
- Supervises the work performance and results of other employees.
- Sets effective schedules to operate within budget.
- Prioritizes work effectively.
- Sets high expectations and goals.
- Trains people on productivity and quality standards.
- Uses work controls to achieve standards.
- Takes responsibility for achieving performance results.
- Follows through to completion of work projects.
- Assures employees follow company policies and procedures.
- Leads effective team meetings.

- Supervises team safety.
- Supervises compliance with OSHA, labor laws, and health records.
- Maintains safe working area and equipment.
- Reports accidents and claims promptly to managers.
- Communicates issues affecting other departments/locations.
- Completes, verifies, and submits all required records.
- Reviews reports; uses information to improve performance.
- Treats business as his/her own.
- Does related work – as required or directed.
Experience:
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in any setting
- Knowledge of industrial equipment fundamentals including electrical wiring, electrical components, pneumonic systems, steam systems, water systems, hydraulics and building maintenance
- Ability to use basic hand tools properly and safely
- Experience responding in a time-sensitive environment with urgency
